At Hudson Houndstooth, we believe every dog deserves to be fashionable, regardless of size. Traditional dog clothing often neglects large and mixed breed pups, offering limited options. We've eliminated XS-XL sizing in favor of 11 sizes based on back length, simplifying the search for the perfect fit.

how to measure your dog

To find your dogs paw-fect size take your dog's measurements using these steps.

1. Back length:

Measure from the base of your dog's neck (right below where their collar would sit) all the way to where their back meets their tail.

2. Girth:

Measure all the way around the largest part of your dog's chest and back. This is usually just behind their front legs, but can sometimes be further back.

Measuring Tips: Use a tape measure to find the girth of your dog's neck where you would like the bandana to sit. If your dog is between sizes or has a lot of fur we recommend sizing up. When in doubt size up!

bow tie size guide

Each bow tie has two elastic loops that slip onto most collars up to 1 1/4" wide. The elastic loops are the same on all sizes so the size of the bow is personal preference. If you like an oversized look, or you have a pup with a lot of fur, we recommend sizing up. For narrow collars we recommend double looping the elastics for a more secure fit.
